Douglas Alaska
Mt. Jumbo (Bradley) Trail

The trail head is between two, up hill, houses in the 300 block of 5th street.

Mt. Jumbo is not a leisure stroll in the woods. It's a mountain climb, a rough trail with many obstacles and mud holes to traverse. It would probably not be very pleasant with small children.

That said, it is breath taking, gorgeous, with forest cathedrals, mountain meadows and spectacular views.

Above tree line, across the saddle, the trail can be easily lost. Your goal is up. With that in mind and a little vigilance, you'll find the way. Take a camera and a lunch. You'll want to enjoy your visit at the top.

Best climbed on a nice day to minimize mud hazards and maximize the view. The summit will be in the clouds otherwise.

This trail is about 5 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 3,337 feet.
